I know very little about 2nd hand car in HK.  Donno if I could ask any of your help here.  Please see this:

The price seems quite low among the same year models.  What shall I be cautious if I go check with the owner?

Do you mean the price is just fair if it's a water good?  I'm so confused.  For 2008 model, the price ranged from 158k to 180k, that is even higher than this 2009.  Just wonder how to choose a car?  Does the price vary according to options (of course), model year, water good, 未出牌 ?  Just so many to see, but difficult to choose (at least for me I'm totally new in this 2nd hand market)

BTW, why is the car 未出牌?

If it is water good, it may not have moon roof.

If that's water good, then you don't get warrantyDCH. But if the price is lower, then I think it is no big deal.

Thanks all. So is 水貨 involving more risks than 行貨 that unless they are substantially cheaper, otherwise I should not select 水貨?  And what's the risks of 水貨?  If it has no sunroof, I won't consider it.  But I would like to learn more about selecting 2nd hand car.

try not to buy from 2nd hd cars plaza...

Why not try DCH, they have a few 2nd hand Stepwgn, but price is higher.

I think one of those Stepwgn is a 水貨.

For buying a used car, You can ask a friend to go with you, if he know cars is better otherwise he still can give you confidence. After a normal check (check the body colour that match underhood, any leaking on the floor, walk around the car and check from the back that the car is in a straight line etc.) If you like the car and you want to buy it then tell the saleman you need to spend few hundred to have a boby check with a garage. If very o'k , you will buy it. If the saleman want to make this deal he will let you do it, if say no, just forget it.

1.  I just found this one and called the owner, he claimed his car is "hong" goods, has no damage and for weekend use only, the current mileage is around 25,000.  What do you think?  Is HKD$177,000 a fair price?  I plan to bid at HKD167,000, is this reasonable?

2.  Furthermore, he's willing to let the car 上架驗 at my car maintenance shop.  But he asked me to inform him in advance what kind of checking will be done.  Could you please advise me what checking procedure should be done?  For car checking, should I go to my preferred shop or ask HKMI to do it?

3.  He has no parking camera, every bits are from original.  How much to install a parking camera myself?  

4.  Is it for the year 2007, there's no keyless go, but only remote sliding doors?
