Long story: Once upon a time, there was a girl stop driving more than 1 year with 60% NCB but accoding to Transportation Dept. that the NCB will be deleted if one stop using it more than 1 year.  So, the poor girl asked for an car agent to buy a 3-party insurance for her in order to maintan the Discount without any actual car (the girl has sold her car.)

Now within a year, the poor girl bought a new car and asked the quotation.  However, the price and terms are no good so she found another better insurance company.  Besides, the poor girl has lost her ORIGINAL car policy.  The car agent, of course, shows bad face to her and tell her that she has to go to the Family Affairs Dept. to swear and fill up the cancellation form by herself...blablabla, etc.  

Finally, she've done everything but just very angry of her car agent's attitude so she mails all documents and directly contact the insurance company's customer service by herself as doesn't want to even talk to her car agent.

Problem is:  need time for mail ORIGINAL for the gov't document.  

That's why it takes so long for pick up the car as need the insurance company issues out the document to release the girl's NCB.

Re-issue means give you a duplicate copy.....

If your policy (3rd person) hasnt expired, the insurance should have the record and you can ask them to give you another copy as you lost the ...

As far as I know, if you have a insurance policy (either 3rd party or full) in company A, you want to switch to company  ...

I believe that original doesnt really mean original. Once you show the proof such as company name, policy number will be fine.... kind lady

算吧啦! Both agent and insurance company said they need ORIGINAL and told me to go to the Gov't dept taking that document.  邊度夠佢地argue?  maybe it's their company policy but i learn a lesson law
