You mean not competitive with the other brand or 08 model?

I think it is really depending on how the engine work with the tranmission.

SOHC has better low-end power, while DOHC has better high-end power and overall maximum power. For Stepwgn, as it should be running at low to mid range RPM at most of the time, SOHC may be a better choice especially driving in town.
