「巴士阿叔」取表　肥媽不參選

有「巴士阿叔」之稱的陳乙東昨到灣仔選舉事務處，索取補選提名表格。他指計畫出戰港島區，聲稱已籌募到五萬元選舉按金。他同時又批評社民連及公民黨發動的所謂「五區公投」，是違法違憲，浪費一億五千萬補選用的公帑。

早前高調表示積極考慮參加補選、有「肥媽」之稱的演藝界人士Maria Cordero， 昨日發聲明正式表態不會參加補選。她在聲明中指自考慮是否參與補選以來，收到很多朋友及歌影迷的意見，她剛從南非回港，與家人商量及考慮到他們給予的意見後，決定「不參加」補選。
