agree, so far the explanation from JP is not clear.
I have heard that if they dump large amount of water in the nuke plant, it may cause the explosion rather cooling down the core.

日本    核危機加劇，福島核電站四號機組清晨起火，三十分鐘後熄滅，但四號機組的建築物，就冒出大量白煙，東京    電力公司說，起火地方幾十米外，肉眼已經見不到火焰。由於儲存廢燃料棒的建築被炸出兩個八米長的洞，燃料棒已暴露在空氣，儲存池的水位亦都下降，核安全當局要求加快注水，公司就指用直升機向四號機組灑水不可行，正研究投放硼酸阻燃。當局說，昨日核電站爆炸後，有兩名工人失蹤。東京電力公司又說，四號機組的核燃料棒有三分一損毀，一號機組的燃料棒，有七成損毀。

另外，二號機組的反應堆堆芯可能受損，反應堆的容器亦可能出現損壞。當局又說，正不斷向一至三號機組的反應堆注水，但水位上升緩慢，約四米高的核燃料棒，仍有一半露出水面。至於第五及第六號機組，冷卻系統運作亦出現問題，核廢料池水溫上升。
